Gulftainer increases capacity

Gulftainer, operator of the container terminals at Sharjah (SCT) and Khorfakkan (KFT), is to boost combined capacity to 4m teu by the end of this year.

Port Strategy: KFT will be able to handle an extra 1m teu by the end of June

KFT will inaugurate a new area by the end of the first half of this year, where an extra 1m teu will be able to be handled.

At the same time, work continues at SCT, where capacity will eventually increased by more than 20%.
