Bledisloe boycott averted
Containers are continuing to be received and delivered at Bledisloe Terminal following the agreement of a revised set of operational conditions between Ports of Auckland and the National Road Carriers (NRC) association.
The association had threatened to cease calling at the terminal due to congestion-related issues following the port’s consolidation of operations to Fergusson Terminal. It demanded receival and delivery be returned to pre-consolidation hours, a fully-manned receival and delivery road office, less than 30-minute truck turn times and adequate slots to meet demand.
