Australian environmental project

The project will help ensure Pluton meet environmental improvement requirements for any expansion plans for its mining operations on Cockatoo Island and infrastructure development of iron ore mining on Irvine Island.

Monitoring of marine mammals will be completed via a vessel survey and BMT will also provide staff at Pluton with Marine Mammal Observer (MMO) training enabling them to work effectively during marine construction activities including piling and blasting.

BMT focuses on all kind of marine and coastal issues including the management and support of port infrastructure. This project may have a future impact on the development, operation and maintenance of coastal infrastructure in the area.
