Cargo tracking with a more sustainable focus
BlueBox Systems has expanded its BlueBoxCargo tracking platform, introducing innovative features designed to optimise cargo tracking, enhance sustainability and streamline sea freight operations.
These upgrades include CO₂ emissions tracking, a new routing feature for air freight and advanced analytics tools, making the platform more accessible and effective for businesses of all sizes.
“With BlueBoxCargo, we are empowering businesses to meet transparency and sustainability goals while enhancing supply chain efficiency,” said Martin Schulze, CEO of BlueBox Systems.
“Our new CO₂ tracking and reporting capabilities reflect our commitment to responding to customer needs and regulatory demands.”
Detailed reporting
The platform now offers detailed emissions reports for sea freight, providing insights via a user-friendly interface and API.
Calculations consider the entire journey – including pre-carriage, on-carriage, stopovers and vessel type – to offer a comprehensive view of emissions per container.
This new functionality allows carriers to optimise routes, reducing their environmental impact and improving operational planning.
Additional updates include customisable dashboards that combine metrics like CO₂ performance and on-time delivery, offering deeper insights for data-driven decisions.
To support smaller companies, the platform now allows manual shipment registration, simplifying access for businesses with limited IT infrastructure.
Mr Schulze said that BlueBoxCargo’s enhancements demonstrate a commitment to sustainable logistics, providing smarter, more accessible solutions for global supply chain management.
