Hyster expands electric forklift lineup

The Hyster J10-18XD series features integrated lithium-ion battery power, offering a rugged, reliable and energy-efficient alternative to internal combustion engine (ICE) models.

“These trucks show our continued commitment to provide a practical electric solution with a competitive total cost of ownership, which can be tailored to meet the needs of many applications, such as wood, metals, ports and other intense operations,” said Ricky Hirani, global commercial product leader, Big Trucks, Hyster.

“We also took steps with this series to help ease the transition for operations pursuing decarbonisation. This includes a high level of commonality with equivalent diesel Hyster models, tools to help monitor and manage batteries, and compatibility with common charging infrastructure.”

Increased efficiency

With load capacities ranging from 10,000 to 18,000kg and configurable battery sizes up to 280kW, Hyster said these electric forklifts provide ICE-like performance while minimising energy loss and total cost of ownership.

The Hyster J10-18XD series uses the Combined Charging System (CCS) standard, enabling cost-effective, scalable charging across multiple applications.

This means that with the right battery pack and charger, these trucks can add about one hour of work time from just 11 minutes of charging at 90 kW.

The electric forklifts also include an onboard Battery Management System (BMS) for real-time battery health monitoring, as well as industry-leading ingress protection, helping ensure durability in demanding environments.
