Fleete launches rapid EV charging hub

As a leading provider of tailored fleet charging solutions, Fleete is building the first high-capacity EV hub of its kind inside the Port of Tilbury.

Large scale charging

With 5MW of power and 16 rapid charging bays, the site sets a new benchmark in port infrastructure designed for large-scale HGV and fleet electrification.

The Tilbury hub, supported by GB£1 million in government funding via the Thames Freeport programme, will serve as a vital charging node along key logistics routes.

The facility will feature rapid charging technology from Heliox and Voltemp, enabling 24/7 operation for electric HGVs and commercial vehicles.

For Fleete, this is the first in a growing network of strategically located EV charging sites built to support zero-emission freight at scale.

Positioned in one of the UK’s busiest multimodal ports, the project is a milestone in enabling smart, future-ready port electrification.

By directly addressing fleet needs such as uptime, usability and grid capacity, Fleete said it is helping redefine what reliable EV charging looks like for commercial logistics.
