Using blockchain to monitor truck emissions

driveMybox will use the solution to establish a transparent and secure method for storing and validating certified CO2 calculations and climate compensation certificates.

Real-time verification

Using blockchain technology means that the measured carbon footprint to offset CO2 emissions, both carried out by the independent company ClimatePartners and ISO14083-compliant, can be fully verified at all times.

The blockchain-based solution will help to monitor, validate, and secure the entire lifecycle of CO2 calculations and climate offset certificates.

Customers can also choose between the two blockchain infrastructures Near-Protocol and Concordium for optimum security and investment protection. 

Dr Heilig said that the cooperation between driveMybox and IBEXUS marks a significant milestone in both companies’ endeavours to promote efficiency and sustainability in the container truck transport sector.
