Höegh LNG is to conduct a Pre-Front End Engineering and Design (pre-FEED) work for an offshore floating LNG facility (FLNG) for an Asia-based national oil company.
Höegh says if the conclusion of the engineering work is positive, it will carry out a full front-end engineering design (FEED).
Sveinung J S Støhle, president and CEO, Höegh LNG, said: “We are pleased to have been awarded this contract, which is the second significant pre-FEED contract awarded to Höegh LNG in the last few months.”
“This award further underscores Höegh LNG’s ability to compete for development of FLNG projects worldwide and shows that our capabilities and design expertise are recognised in the marketplace,” he added.
The pre-FEED work will be finalised in the Q1 of 2014.
