Although the Middle East conflict feels geographically distant from U.S. ports, its ripple effects on global shipping could be significant. Tanker movements are the most directly affected, with oil and product carriers adjusting routes and extending voyages, but container and dry bulk sectors may also face disruptions as vessel supply tightens.
