The Leixõ es and Douro Port Authority has dropped rents in 2010 by 0.4% as a means of boosting the overall competitiveness of its concessionaires. In addition, other port tariffs have not gone up, while discounts have been offered when handling certain types of cargo, such as agribulk and export iron.
