Mafi trailers for MSC Valencia
Mafi has received an order for 32 of its new MT 25 YT terminal tractor from MSC Terminal in Valencia. The new terminal is under construction and the first containership is scheduled for September. The order is split into 26 MT 25 YTs with the latest Cummins engine QSB 5.9 with 129kW and six MT 25 YTs with Cummins engine QSB 6.7 with 172kW. The cab is made and certified according to ROPS and FOPS regulations, offers excellent visibility to all sides and the installed instruments are of the latest design. The dashboard and the air suspended drivers seat is built to the latest regulations with regard to ergonomics, says Mafi. All tractors are equipped with aircon and prepared to install internal communication equipment. The first units will be delivered in July.
Once deployed, the system will automatically confirm the container load/discharge movements on each of the 14 ship-to-shore cranes in operation.
Looking ahead the new MAFI RoRo tractor generation MT 32/ MT 36 will be shown at the RoRo 2006 taking place in Ghent in May.
