East Africa calls for unified harbours authority

Traders on the east coast of Africa want to see the reinstatement of the East African Harbours & Port Authority to stop individual states applying unilateral tariffs.

As an example, Kenya Revenue Authority recently introduced a new transit cash bond, which had the effect of preventing the movement of finished vehicles across borders.
