Liebherr wins Ngqura contract

Crane manufacturer Liebherr has confirmed acontract to add six megamax container cranes to handling capability at the Port of Ngqura.

The South African port already has 19 Liebherr ship-to-shore cranes in operation at its Transnet facilities.

The new cranes will have an operational outreach of (61.00m) to service the latest megamax-size containerships. The cranes are also equipped with expandable twin-lift telescopic spreaders allowing the handling of 20′, 40′, 2 x 20′ and 45′ containers.
