Uganda to open Mombasa box terminal
A reciprocal agreement between Uganda and Kenya is to result in the construction of a dry dock and container terminal in the port of Mombasa to handle cargo from Uganda. These, it is hoped, will help reduce congestion. A 3,075-acre piece of land has been identified at the port and this will be leased for 99 years.
