LNG bunker feed vessel unveiling

The Amaltheia, which was unveiled at Posidonia 2016, is a state-of-the art vessel designed and engineered by Helengi Engineering in collaboration with NAP Engineering.

It is the result of years of intensive engineering studies and is apparently the first time that Greek companies have undertaken such a demanding and complex design on this special type of vessel.

When completed, Amaltheia will have a capacity of 1400 m³ of LNG, but the vessel can accommodate up to 2000 m³ depending on requirements.

Following the build of Amaltheia, more LNG vessels of various capacities are likely to ensue from the partnership.

The objective is to create a portfolio of vessels ranging from 1000 m³ to 7000 m³ capacity of LNG.

Helengi Engineering is a wholly Greek company with specialised know-how in ship design, marine engineering and process engineering, set up to satisfy a range of applications for the use of liquefied natural gas as a marine fuel.

It is also able to provide ship-owners and shipyards with technical solutions for new installations and retrofits.
