Spanish gas hub gets funding
The European Union will co-finance a series of studies to develop a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) hub in the Port of Ferrol, near La Coruña in the northwest of Spain.
Under the auspices of the TEN-T Programme, the EU will co-finance the studies to the tune of €600,000.
Studies will contribute to climate change mitigation and to the reduction of the impact of transport on the environment.
They will be monitored by the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) and are due to be completed by December 2015.
The project aims to develop a hub for LNG as fuel for the Port of Ferrol in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula.
