Worlds first LNG hybrid barge set for 2014

Slovakias Shipbuilding and Machinery is to build what is thought to be the worlds first LNG hybrid barge for Hybrid Port Energy GmbH, a subsidiary of Becker Marine Systems GmbH & Co KG.

The LNG hybrid barge will enable the Port of Hamburg to provide cold ironing power to cruise ships
