Provisional programme released for GPSA 2014

The 10 sessions at Mercator Media’s two-day conference will comprise:

• The driving forces behind the need for expansion in ports and terminals

• Green initiatives for port and infrastructure planning
• Case Studies: Environmental innovations at green port developments
• Use of LNG as a marine fuel: bunkering, supply, safety
• Improving efficiency and reducing emissions in terminal operations
• Improving efficiency and reducing emissions through innovations in the logistics chain
• Solutions for and monitoring of termians: Waste, water and dust
• Environmental performance management in ports and terminals

Delegates will be welcomed to the event by the chairman of JNPT, Mr N N Kumar IRS and members of the Conference Advisory Board will be participating in the event as session chairmen.

Mr Fer van de Laar, managing director, International Association of Ports & Harbors (IAPH) / World Port Climate Initiative (WPCI), Bureau director, will give a keynote presenation on environmental and sustainability progress in regional and international ports and terminals.
