Five bid for Busan expansion

Around US$604.85m in investment will be required.

Five companies have put forward bids to build four new berths at the South Korean port of Busan. These are PSA International, Hyundai Development, Daewoo Engineering & Construction, Posco Engineering & Construction and Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction. 30 new berths will be added at Busan by 2010 of which the first three will be available by early 2006. A further 14 berths will be completed by the end of 2008.
