Sevasa takes standardising lead
Spanish port stevedoring company Sevasa is taking part in theOPTIMUS project, whose aim is to standardise simulation-based trainingused in many European ports by developing, testing and implementing acommon approach on how to apply simulation techniques and devices forthe operational training of port and logistic sector workers.
The aim is to standardise the design of training programmes and of performance evaluation procedures, and also to develop web-based and computer-based learning content to optimise the use of simulators in operational port training activities.
Sevasa is contributing its experience in simulator training to the scheme and is also carrying out the pilot project. The hope is that everybody will benefit through the acquisition of new learning methodologies and content, while also learning how to better evaluate them.
