Cargotec racks up new orders
Cargotec is celebrating a flood of orders for its Kalmar port equipment in Europe and the Americas.
Belgium-based equipment rental company Cuypers Vorkliften has ordered six Kalmar DRF450-60S5M reachstackers to lease to customers at the Port of Antwerp.
Intermodal operator Neuss Trimodal has also opted for Kalmar reachstackers, placing orders for two Kalmar DRF400-60C5 and two Kalmar DFR450-60S5 reachstackers. The units will be delivered from November.
In Mexico, Pinfra’s subsidiary, Infraestructura Portuaria Mexicana has ordered two all-electric Kalmar E-One2 rubber-tyred gantry cranes, due for delivery in the second quarter of 2011.
As part of that order, Cargotec has also been contracted to upgrade two existing quay cranes at Port of Altamira.
Staying in the Americas, Cargotec has won an order for 50 Kalmar Ottawa 4×2 terminal tractors from North American truck and equipment lessor Idealease. Delivery is scheduled to begin in November.
Idealease has indicated that it will lease the units to a customer at the ports of Lázaro Cárdenas and Manzanillo on Mexico’s Pacific Coast.
