Cargotec secures slew of Kalmar orders
Cargotec has secured an order to deliver 13 Kalmar reachstackers and four Kalmar empty container handlers to Europe Container Terminals, supported by a five-year maintenance agreement. The order has been booked for the first quarter of 2012.
In Malaysia, Cargotec is to supply four of its Kalmar ESC340W straddle carriers to Northport, as part of an ongoing fleet replacement programme. The 40-tonne models are scheduled for delivery to the company’s Port Klang site in September 2012.
The new order is supported by a five-year service agreement in which Cargotec will provide continuous maintenance support on the new straddle carriers.
Cargotec will also supply 22 Kalmar straddle carriers to Australia’s container handling operator Patrick container terminals. Twelve of the straddle carriers will be delivered to Patrick’s East Swanson Dock in Melbourne between July and December 2012 and a further ten to Patrick’s Port Botany Terminal in Sydney between May and September 2012.
