Efficient tyre management
Continental Commercial Specialty Tires (CST) is presenting new products from its extensive port tyre range and launching a new tyre management system at this year’s TOC Europe.
For the first time, the TractorMaster tyre in the new size 280/75 R 22.5. The tyre features impressive safety and optimised performance, which has a positive effect on the environment and offers significant cost savings.
Julian Alexander, product line manager, material handling at Continental CST, said: “We are constantly developing our product range in order to be able to offer the best solutions for their individual needs from a single source – and for every port vehicle.”
The TractorMaster offers very good traction, a high load-bearing capacity and very high mileage. The closed shoulder and the hard, wear-resistant compound of the tyre provide even wear, low abrasion, and high resistance to damage.
Meanwhile the ContainerMaster is a V.ply tyre for reach stackers, empty container handlers, and heavy-duty forklift trucks.
The V.ply design is based on racing tyre technology and combines the benefits of diagonal and radial tires with high resistance to damage, a long service life, and low rolling resistance.
Continental CST is also launching an efficient fleet management system available from 2017. The ContiFlexBox tyre management system enables drivers and fleet managers to manage their fleets in a safe, efficient, and environmentally-friendly way.
It can be used in combination with the ContiPressureCheck tyre pressure monitoring system, which enables automatic collection of data on tyre pressure and temperature via sensors. The data is then transferred to mobile end devices and the driver’s cabin for analysis.
