Clara Holmgren, sales manager at ABB Ports, said that the QuayPro tool also enables rapid exception-handling, for example in changing the sequence of work orders.

“With QuayPro, we have now digitalised the whole process, from the ship all the way in to the remote operator,” she said.

QuayPro offers visualisation of all the TOS data related to a container and what is waiting under the crane, as well as of the original TOS plan and the bay’s actual status. Visualisation of special moves or hatch covers is also provided.

ABB said that QuayPro allows an operator to work uninterrupted on work orders, specify or change a discharging sequence and bypass a container that is unable to be picked up.
