Kalmar buys into Australia market
Cargotec subsidiary Kalmar is to acquire the port services business of Inver Engineering in Australia.
Inver Engineering is a privately-owned company based in Melbourne. Its niche is in servicing ports and the rail, petrochemical, oil and gas and manufacturing industries.
Its Inver Port Services division provides repairs, maintenance and crane refurbishment projects for terminal operators across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
The purchase aims to grow Kalmar’s services while strengthening and broadening the company’s existing capabilities throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
