Kalmar launches SmartPort webinars
Cargotec’s Kalmar has launched a series of webinars to increase industry understanding of process automation.
The webinars are open to all interested terminal operators, with pre-registration possible via kalmar@cargotec.com.
Each webinar will last approximately 40 minutes, including questions and answers, and will be interactive with the ability to chat with SmartPort experts during the presentation.
The first, on April 11 will look at the Rail/Yard interface, the second on May 2 will look at the Vessel/Yard interface and the final one on June 6 will consider the Gate/Yard interface.
In related news, Kalmar has signed an order for 11 automatic stacking cranes with Europe Container Terminals in the Netherlands.
The cranes will be delivered during 2014 and they will replace part of the existing automatic stacking cranes that have been in operation since the early 1990s.
