Kalmar unveils business intelligence solution

The cloud-based software service aggregates data from the equipment fleet, the TOS and the terminal’s maintenance management system, displaying the most relevant information on a single user interface with simple dashboards.

Kalmar claims the service will help terminals make sense of big data in order to harness its power to plan ahead and focus on the essentials of their daily business.

Kimmo Kallioniemi, vice president of Kalmar’s service business development department, said: “We have tailored dashboards for different user groups: Senior management, operations management, maintenance management, and health and safety officers.

“Kalmar Insight provides, for the first time, a common platform and a holistic view for all of these user groups, allowing them to take immediate actions to remove possible bottlenecks, ensure fleet availability and optimise productivity.”
