Manila opts for Vycon savings
Twelve Vycon energy capture devices are to be installed at Manila International Container Terminal (MICT) on both existing and upcoming Noell rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGs).
The fuel-saving devices are expected to optimise the RTGs’ diesel generator operation by storing and regenerating energy during their lowering and lifting cycles.
Future Noell RTGs will have Vycon fuel-saving devices built-in to the design.
