Permanent home for Pentalver

Container services operator, Pentalver, has moved into a five acre permanent site at DP World’s London Gateway.

The operator has been providing reefer services from temporary premises at the port since April 2014.

But Pentalver’s new yard represents a permanent location for the firm to operate from with the potential to expand to nine acres in future.

Chris Lawrenson, managing director of Pentalver, said: “The facility will play a key role in boosting our national service offering and fulfilling our obligation to respond to the needs of customers at UK locations of their choice.”

Pentalver announced plans for the two-phase site back in January which it said would position the company as the largest container service operator at the port.

From its new facility, the operator will offer a full range of services to vessels being handled at the terminal, including cargo handling, transport, loaded storage, empty storage, reefer services, maintenance and container refurbishment.
