Rugged PC for ports
A rugged handheld computer designed specifically for the port logistics environment has bee unveiled by LXE. The MX9 features an outdoor display, 62-key and 38-key back-light keypad options, built-in GPS positional location, 802.11b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR communications and rugged packaging.
Recommended green spec areas include the relationship between spreader efficiency standards, environmental impact in terms of truck idling, the correlation between crane power consumption and crane spreader weight, and spreader energy consumption and its correlation with spreader design decisions.
