TGI launches TGIBOX product

Its TGIBOX aims to streamline yard resources and to manage picking and placing of containers in a quick, efficient and safe manner.

The product operates via a central TGIBOX communicating in real-time with each TGIBOX in the container handling equipment to get the DGPS position of each container at the moment of spreader locking and unlocking.

This reading is then converted into a yard position and transmitted to the terminal operating system.

The TGIBOX is able to work with most types and brands of container handling equipment, including reachstackers and straddle carriers, and can also interface with different types of TOS.

The transmission of data via wifi or narrowband network, as well as format, can be adapted for each terminal and transferred to most types of software.
