Trusses move Maltese
Tasked with repositioning Malta Freeports cranes to make room for more, movement specialist Global Rigging and Transport employed a specialised truss system to shuffle the quayside equipment.
The truss system was developed for the land transport of cranes weighing up to 2,000 tonnes.
The Containerized Transport Truss System (CTTS) is designed to span from landside to the waterside sill beam on cranes with a rail gauge of up to 100 feet – and it is fully transportable itself inside standard shipping containers.
