World’s largest hydraulic material handler launched
Finland’s Mantsinen Group has added a new addition, and also the world’s largest, hydraulic material handler to its range.
The Mantsinen 200 M HybriLift is aimed at sea ports and river ports handling barges and vessels up to Handymax size. Heavy steel products like coils or billets can be precisely and safely unloaded/loaded with over 45 cycles per hour, and by using an attachment, the 200 M is ready for bulk handling with even shorter cycle time.
It features a robust wheel, weighs around 270 tonnes, has a travel speed up to 5km/h and a turning radius less than 12m. It’s available with diesel engine or electric motor, various undercarriage heights and front equipment configurations, several cabin positions including cabin elevators.
Mantsinen says it’s proven to improve energy efficiency by up to 35% and allows for the use of downsized engines and motors, resulting in lower emissions, improved fuel economy and lower maintenance cost.
The world’s first 200 M HybriLift will be delivered to Antwerp Port area in July 2014.
