Casella measures noise at Dover

To help, the Health and Safety and Environmental departments are using a CEL-450 noise measurement meter from Casella CEL.

The instrument is being used to monitor noise levels from ships entering and leaving the port, trucks and other traffic arriving and departing, inside and outside workshops, and from the ongoing development works that have become a feature at Dover, the busiest ro-ro ferry terminal in Europe.

The CEL-450, which features a simple point and shoot operation with an easyto-use menu structure, produces a time history of the noise levels at a selectable time interval down to 10millisecond for speedy frequency analysis.
