CEM steps up to Irish Harbour

Dun Laoghaire Harbour near Dublin sees its fair share of feet, but now it will know exactly how many visitors it has. CEM Systems, part of Tyco Fire & Security Access Control and Video Systems business unit, has won the contract to supply its PedMon people counting system to Dun Laoghaire. PedMon will monitor the in-and-out flow of human traffic in real time using unique sensors and system control software, enabling the accurate assessment of pedestrian traffic flow and occupancy on the East Pier. The introduction of the system to the harbour will coincide with the completion of a three million euro renovation project to the East Pier.
