Civitavecchia green light

TheItalian government has approved a project covering the development ofthe port of Civitavecchia, which involves finance of ¢ 71.5m ($103.8m).Work includes construction of an additional 400 metres of quay and thebuilding of a new ro-ro terminal.

Giving an example of the pending crisis, the port authority pointed out that, on one particular day, 1,800 trucks arrived at the terminal conveying export containers, but it was not until the following day that all of them had been dealt with.
