Involved in the syndicate are Banco Sabadell, Barclays Capital, BNP Paribas, Fortis Bank, HSBC Bank, Santander and Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, although a total of 22 financial institutions participated in the operation.

Dunkirk’s North France International Container Terminal has announced that APM Terminals will be taking a minority stake in the business. The move is not unexpected given that the terminal needs significant new investment in quayside gantry cranes in order to cope with rising throughputs. Meanwhile, in the first eight months of this year, total traffic at the port rose by 5.2% to 36.04m tons, with container throughput up 9% to 140,000 TEUs.
