Eurogate Hamburg to pull the big boys
The first piles have been driven in a five-year project to modernise the Eurogate Container Terminal in Hamburg and attract big boxships as that group reports record handling. The project, which will last 18 months, includes the renewal of quay walls and flood defences at the Predohlkai Berth 1 and the deepening of the harbour basin to 16 metres for bigger ships.
