Green light for Ferrol phase II development
Ferrol-San Cibrao Port Authority has approved the second phase construction of its outer harbour extension.
A tender will be issued as soon as possible and an award made before the end of the first half of 2008.
Once operational, the new harbour will effectively double the available surface area for handling activities.
The entire outer harbour development will cover 90 hectares and encompass 1,515 metres of quay. The ¢24m ($35.7m) work is scheduled to be completed within 19 months and new concessions awarded by 2010.
