New Albanian port
The British-Swiss Zumax AG group has been awarded a ¢ 1.18bn ($1.5bn) concession to build a new container terminal in southwestern Albania and operate it for a period of 35 years.
It will be located at Vlora some 140 kilometres from Tirana and have a capacity of 3m teu.
Construction will commence in the spring and operations begin within four years.
