REVENUE DECLINE AT PIRAEUS
Piraeus port authority has reported a 3.8% drop in revenue during the first quarter. This amounted to € 34.5m compared with € 35.9m in the corresponding 2005 period.
Interested parties will have to partially finance construction of the facility, although public investment of ?396.3m is also earmarked.
The reduction is due mostly to the downturn in container traffic.
