Rotterdam to offer rebates

The Port of Rotterdam is to give a one-off rebate in 2010 on both sea and inland harbour dues.

The aim is to stimulate markets and strengthen its competitive position, said the Port Authority. The rebate will mark a decrease of 5% in 2010. Rotterdam has not lowered tariffs for the last two decades, but has been forced to do so by the current economic downturn.
