TICT transhipment coup

Tartous International Container Terminal has been granted permission to handle transhipment traffic, a first in Syria.

Expected to be completed in 2011, the terminal covers a 28-hectare deepsea facility with a total quay length of 700 metres and an annual capacity of 1.6m teu.
