A revolutionary external sea container wash machine developed by Auckland-based Lotus Wash Systems has received official certification from MAFBNZ.

Container wash wins sought-after Australian approval

The world’s first such fully-automated unit, installed at AWH Port Freemantle in Australia, can wash all six sides of 20-foot containers in less than five minutes and the outside of 40-foot containers in under ten minutes.

Following vigorous testing, the regulatory body has determined that boxes cleaned by such installations in New Zealand should not need re-inspection as is required for manually-washed containers.
