Oakajee ups planned capacity

Western Australia’s Oakajee deepwater port has lifted its planned initial capacity to 45m tonnes/annum on the back of “strong interest from regional iron ore miners”. The authority has also announced that it has selected “three potential foundation customers for contractual discussions”. These include Sinosteel Midwest (Weld Range project), Karara Mining (Karara project) and Crosslands Resources (Jack Hills project).
