Portland wins tax challenge
The Australian port of Portland has won its challenge against the Victorian government for the amount of land tax that was payable at the time the port was privatised in the mid-1990s.
The port argued valuations done for the government were too high and that it should be refunded A$750,000 (US$785,000).
The Supreme Court of Victoria has ruled in its favour.
