Qube buys Liebherr crane for Bell Bay

For the handling of project cargo, the LHM 420 type crane provides a maximum lifting capacity of 124t at an outreach of up to 16m and with a maximum reach of 48m.

This is the eighth mobile harbour crane the Australian port solution provider has purchased from Liebherr and the container handling machine will be equipped with a twin-lift spreader.

Qube Ports’ other Liebherr mobile harbour cranes are based in Darwin, Bunbury, Port Hedland, Geraldton and Fremantle. The company also recently ordered twelve-wheel loaders from Liebherr.

Mr Berthold added: “We hope to also support them with the new LRS 545 Reachstacker or with the upcoming Liebherr Log Handler.”
