AD Ports joins up the dots inland of Khalifa

Strategically located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the inland dry port facility will serve as an Inland Container Depot (ICD), offering faster, more efficient cargo handling and improving speed to market for Dubai and the Northern Emirates. 

“The opening of Al Faya Dry Port is not only a tangible example of our support to key commercial partners, but a sign of our commitment to raising the quality of supply chains across the UAE,” said Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, managing director and group CEO of AD Ports Group.

This development strengthens the logistics infrastructure and extends the commercial reach of Khalifa Port.

The Al Faya Dry Port is digitally integrated with Khalifa Port through Maqta Technologies’ Advanced Trade & Logistics Platform (ATLP).

With an initial container capacity of 900 teu, the facility is designed for scalability to meet market demand and optimise cargo movement.

As a customs-bonded and ISPS-compliant facility, Al Faya Dry Port will help to ensure fast truck turnaround times and high-security standards going forward.

For AD Ports, the new facility marks a significant step in boosting port logistics and expanding the reach of Khalifa Port’s services to the entire UAE market.
