Dubai maritime centre expansion

Located in the Commercial District of Dubai Maritime City, the tower was completed in just 20 months, with 78% of its office space leased before opening, underlining strong market demand for high-quality commercial facilities in strategically connected business hubs across Dubai.

“The strong pre-leasing demand for Maritime Business Centre 2 reflects continued confidence in Dubai Maritime City as a strategic destination for maritime and trade-related businesses,” said Ahmed Al Hammadi, chief operating officer of Dubai Maritime City.

“Projects like this show how we are creating high-quality spaces around our core infrastructure, supporting companies looking to operate closer to ports, logistics infrastructure and regional trade networks.”

The development features 125 premium office units ranging from 40 to 980 square metres, many offering waterfront views. Businesses can choose between fully fitted plug-and-play offices for immediate operations or shell-and-core units allowing customised workspace design.

The building also includes a wellness floor with a gym and recreational facilities, retail and food outlets, and 480 parking bays, including dedicated spaces for electric and hybrid vehicles as well as People of Determination.

Dubai Maritime City’s headquarters and Jafza’s licensing department have also relocated to the new tower, positioning MBC-2 as a central hub for maritime business operations and client engagement. The opening ceremony was attended by senior officials from DP World and the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation.
