Logistics hub planned for King Abdulaziz Port

Spanning 197,000 square metres and costing up to SAR 200 million (€47 million), the facility aims to boost the port’s operational efficiency, competitiveness and service levels.

Key features of the logistics park include 35,000 square metres of warehouse space, administrative offices, a container storage and maintenance yard and a dedicated re-export area. These facilities are expected to enhance trade flows and attract private sector investment, reinforcing the port’s strategic importance.

This project is part of a broader wave of logistics infrastructure expansion across the Kingdom. In 2024 alone, eight logistics parks and centres have launched or broken ground, attracting SAR 2.9 billion (€680 million) in private investment. Notably, Maersk inaugurated its largest global logistics facility at Jeddah Islamic Port, valued at SAR 1.3 billion (€310 million).

The new Dammam park will play a pivotal role in increasing private sector participation, supporting economic diversification, and accelerating the Kingdom’s transformation into a regional and global logistics powerhouse.

The development aligns with Saudi Arabia’s National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Vision 2030 goals to position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub.
